Brother, it is with much reservation that I say this, but it absolutely must be done if our lodge is to remain viable.

Eastern Lights • Masonic News
My Brother,
Hope your summer has been enjoyable and all is well with you and your family.
I am frequently reminded of the great fraternity to which we all belong by the most ordinary aspects of everyday life. I’m sure it happens to you. I’ll be walking along and out of the blue some apropos line from our ritual will pop into my head. Eureka, I’ve found it! One of my favorites,of the dozens that mysteriously and spontaneously appear on a daily basis, “the internal and not the external qualifications of a man recommend him to Masonry”. The wisdom of the ages, the Bible, the Bill of Rights all in a nutshell. Get involved, keep it going! Pete

New Membership Class Forming • Masonic News
We have two candidates for initiation and membership in Mozart Lodge for a fall class. This means that there is room for three or possibly more candidates in this next class. If anyone knows someone they can recommend for membership in a fall class, please contact the secretary at 856-384-1862 or 609-970-5623. All we need is a name and phone number to begin the process. Remember, Freemasonry is one of the greatest gifts one man can give another.

Suggestions from the Altmeister Zirkle • Masonic News
For the past seven months, the Past Masters of Mozart Lodge have been meeting regularly at the Gateway dinner to try and formulate some ideas on how to improve the lodge. In July we had a guest appearance by Brother Richard Sheeran who was only to pleased to share with us his suggestions on how to improve communications and generate interest in our lodge. As I am sure you can imagine, Dick’s thirty plus years of experiense in broadcast television were not only inspirational but extremely insightful. Lots of new ideas were generated by all present and I would like to present just one, to hopefully enlist your support.
Dick suggested we improve the content of our Trestleboard. Try and find, and print, stories with content that appeal to our membership and thereby stimulate interest. Personal stories would probably generate the most interest and would be a great place to start. Stories from the membership would be best since the brethren are probably tired of hearing from the same old people all the time.
Send us your story. Whether it be about lodge and how to improve it, your military service in the war, something unusual that happened to you while on vacation. Anything.
