Status of Meeting Place • Masonic News
Our three committee members consisting of W.B. Barrett (chairman), Brother Mike Kouvatas, and Brother Mike Kouvatas, Jr. along with myself and WB Secretary Donald Heritage met with the Trustees of the West Jersey Masonic Center to present our concerns and discuss the new proposed lease agreement on Sunday, January 22, 2006. The committee presented an itemized list of those concerns and gave a brief description of each item. There was some discussion on each item and we were informed that the Trustees of the WJMC would be unable to render their decision but would review our concerns and get back to us as soon as possible.
While we did not come away from this meeting with a definitive answer, I do believe there was, thanks to the hard work of our committeemen and their willingness to seek an amiable agreement through compromise, a big step to resolving this issue to the satisfaction of all parties involved. I feel that a foundation has been laid for a better working relationship which should benefit everyone. Who best can work and who best can agree.
