As spring approaches, I would like to direct your attention to the charitable arm of Freemasonry. We as masons donate a substantial amount of time to charitable and community functions. Many who are not associated with Freemasons are not aware that our fraternal organization worldwide donates 3 million dollars daily; 2 million in the USA alone. The beneficiaries of these funds include scholarship funds, natural disaster relief, and aid to poor families. We also provide assistance to many medical care facilities such as neuromuscular, eye care, children’s dyslexia centers, and world renowned Shriners Hospital’s. We as Freemasons give our time to these commodities, not for recognition but to enhance the betterment of society. By participating we hope to instill the same in others and increase interest. Masonic charity involvement helps good men become better men.

I would like to thank all the brethren of Mozart Lodge who are working diligently to make our Official Visit on March 6th a success. Our annual chili cook off is that evening, so please enter and join us for this festive event.
