Brethren, this month the focus will be on the perfect ashlar. The perfect ashlar is the finished stone brought to perfection from the rough ashlar, extracted from the quarry. The rough ashlar represents the character we were before being introduced to Masonry. As we went through our degrees we gradually moved closer to the finished product, the perfect ashlar. Upon receiving the Master Mason degree we as Masons are expected to represent a character representing the perfect ashlar. Thus making good men better men. As we now introduce new brothers to Freemasonry, I am looking forward to seeing the kind and sincere fellowship that was given to me when entering the craft.
